When I rate these shows I judge them on their current sound and representation, not a past experience. But hey a lot of people don't, and the stories are fun to hear. I value the other reviews partly because they can save a lot of time.Good sound so far, C.M>

I went to this with Joe Pass Jr., yet didnt know Jack
I went to this show when I was a mere freshman at Pitzer College, this was my ummmmmm maybe 40th show or so don't knw. I webnt with my Roommate Joe Pass Jr., who is/was Joe Pass sr.'s son. As I realize now and was told then Joe Pass is one of the worlds greats. Well well well, one can never tell. I should like call Joe Jr. up and say Hello. he said he was friends/neighbors with Dweezil Zappa at the time, but we were all 18 years old then. Show was rainy and cold I think, seemed a lot worse then than the tape sounds, but I haven't seen Jerry for a while, like 21 year sor so. Whatever if u went there also chime in. I think the gates got crashed hard on 4/18, or the following year, but these and 1988 were excellent. Was there a 1989 Irvine. Irvine shows were fun but its not like I want to ever see them there again! Try night 2 of the 88 run, the crazy fingers etc. that was great I recall I used to listen to it religiously for a few years etc...whatever where are the fall 2015 tour dates, as if that would sound logical to someone likle mne who was at this show in 88, they'd say whaddya mean 2015 fall tour????????????Is u crazy?????
